Irish Times – Adventure West

August 26th, 2009 by admin

We were delighted to see so many of our sites being mentioned in the recent edition of the Irish Times – Special Supplement – Adventure West, Just flicking through the first few pages we see the topic is on mountain biking in ireland and our site www.MountainBiking.ie got first in the list of websites to visit about mountain bike stuff in Ireland!

Then we see that one other site for an outdoor education centre in Limerick called Kilfinane OEC got a good plug as they offer specialist mountain bike courses in their centre. They are also based near to the Ballyhoura Mountain Biking Trail.

Moving upward along the coast we got to Galway and Dive Centres in Galway. Scuba Dive West a long term client of ourselves got promoted for their diving courses and got a plug for www.scubadivewest.com

Business Advice in Wexford

August 14th, 2009 by admin

We have had many hits on our websites by people looking to get through this year and make it to next year in good financial condition. Many are looking at ways of cutting costs in running their businesses. Cost cutting could take many routes including

  • Cutting Advertising Costs
  • Cutting Marketing Costs
  • Cutting Rent Costs
  • Cutting Staff Costs
  • Cutting Overheads

No matter which method you are deploying the end result will be the same, to same money in their economic climate.  Companies when I am talking to them assume that the Web for instance either costs them about €199 euro for a website or maybe €20,000 as they have heard of websites that only start at around the €15,000 mark ! Most start up business should be spending at least €1,600 as it’s not just about getting “a page” up there, it’s about getting a good website and getting in found in Google ( especially in Ireland).

  • Using the Internet to cut the costs of running a business can take the following forms
  • Using IP Telephones
  • Using Direct Inward Dialing
  • Using Emails instead of letters
  • Using PDF document
  • Using Open Office instead of Microsoft Office

There is no Reccession On-line!

August 13th, 2009 by admin

We had a meeting today with a great client of ours who operates one of Ireland’s best on-line Wedding Gifts Websites All About Weddings was set up a few years ago when two like minded sisters who love weddings decided to set up an online shop for wedding gifts.

Now a well established, successful business All About Wedding came into us to talk about expansion and growing the website further, by making new changes and additions to the website.

Recession me arse !

Without giving too many details away the girls sales will continue to grow at a sharp incline in 2009 and 2010.  Sales are on a daily basis and they are one of the many successful online business in Ireland that will be helping the online sales figures keep growing

Irish Online Transactions at €14,000,000 per day !

Different bodies publish figures each month, but it is estimated that online transactions in Ireland are now over the 14 million per day mark, thus the scramble to the market of companies wanting to get a piece of that every growing pie. New transaction companies such as WorldNet TPS in Dun Laoghaire and SagePay are a few who are trying to get into the market that Realex Payments have dominated in for so long.

Our favourites would be John in WorldNet TPS.

August 7th, 2009 by admin

groveside-farm-oldsite

Investing in your business takes many forms and for Groveside Farm Bed and Breakfast in Wexford, they decided this year to upgrade their website to a more modern looking and more efficient website that allows them to edit and update the content of the site as they wish.

The old site was a standard html style of website that has worked well for them for a few years but now the owner Mary Cousins decided it was time to upgrade the site and show the customers what her Bed and Breakfast in Wexford and the surrounding area of Kilmore have to offer.

We discussed her requirements and working with Mary in gather content for the upgrading of her new site. Explaining that “Content is King” when it comes to online marketing and so embarked on deploying a photographer to help work on gaining the correct images for the site and also working ourselves on the written content.

Once we gathered the data, we then went about producing a website that now allows Mary to update easily and keep her customers informed about her great bed and breakfast and also the locality in Wexford where their farm is located.

We would like to wish Mary and family the very best with their new website.
