It was an extraordinary privilege for me, alongside Philip Cullen, to bring this prestigious event back to our beloved hometown of Gorey for its sixth annual celebration. - Willie Willoughby was recognized for their efforts and hard work in so many clubs, association’s in Gorey and the surrounding area and was not shy to step forward and take over the mic thank the people of North Wexford who nominated him and was proud to be on the stage that evening.
- Person of the Year:
- Catriona Dixon took her place on stage and was met with a 5 minute standing ovation with her family looking on with a tear in their eye and when I look around they were joined by the entire room. It was a precious moment as she told us about her journey in life and the struggles she has met with along the way. She is a force of nature and someone we can all admire to push hard when life looks to be against you. An inspiration.
